Cut and Run :

Pirate sword fighting for powder monkeys both young and young at heart.

Join Cut and Run as they take you though the evolution of pirate weapons and teach your young powder monkey how to fight with a sword… Teaching children to fight with a sword? What could possibly go wrong? All your child needs to bring is a fearsome pirate name and even more fearsome pirate yell. But parents, don’t go far because after we teach your child how to fight like a pirate, we will give you a sword to defend yourself from the newly graduated member of the boarding party!

Invoketress, an award winning multidisciplinary troupe specializing in bellydance, is based out of Guelph and are delighted to grace the stage at this year's Renaissance festival.

This traveling trio brings on the sass, shimmying and shaking their way into your wanderlusting hearts as they share dances from the middle and near east.

Erikka is a Canadian circus artist who has been training for the past eight years and performing internationally for the past four. She performs aerial silks, aerial hammock, fire dancing and duo trapeze, her acts focus on exciting high energy drops and dynamic movements.

Canadian Raptor Conservancy – Birds of Prey

The Canadian Raptor Conservancy performs live, Free-Flight Demonstrations across Canada at select events throughout the year. Our show will feature birds that are trained for free flight, and we will highlight unique qualities of appearance and flight styles. As each bird is flying, the handler/interpreter gives an educational commentary about each one.

Men in Tights is a comedic duo who specialize in the retelling of classics, using the audience to help them recreate these fractured classics. Enjoy a show featuring a well known tale from Shakespeare or another source – guaranteed fun for whole family!

Captain Thom Bedlam is landlocked, bored, and bursting
with thomfoolery. It’s a wild array of magical mayhem, the
sharing of vastly inaccurate knowledge and gregarious, if
ineffective, lessons on piracy. Of all the lying, cheating,
unscrupulous scoundrels you’ll ever meet, you’ll like him
the best. Not so much memorable as he is hilariously traumatizing.

Pirates have invaded a portion of the village!
See the 17th century 3lb cannon and get a demonstration on how to fire it. Be wary of the younger members of the audience as the swarthy crew is always looking for new members to do the work!




Vikings :

Vikings

Vikings of Vinland - Are a non-profit, Recreation group of individuals that educate the public on Viking life and culture. Demonstrations on Shield making, Rune Stone Carving, weaponry, food, and the daily life of a Viking. Guests can come by our area and carve runes in their own little piece of wood to take home, learn the fundamentals on how to construct a shield, and look at all the weapons that vikings used!




Fairy Folk :

Wolvercote has a friendly invasion of fairies! While you may find the special fairy garden, faries themselves are elusive beings, and only children (and kids at heart) can see these magical beings!

Known for our range of music, from Medieval & Renaissance to The Unlikely, North America's only gemshorn quartet is now fortified with even more instruments you've never heard of. Our unique consort continues to gain considerable notoriety, with our Bardcore YouTube hits "Star Wars Cantina Band" & "Gem of Thrones". Hall Train (builder of our instruments) & Trevor Rines are delighted both to be performing for our 5th year at this wonderful Festival & also to welcome Andrew Thompson & Chris Hoffman to our ensemble. Based out of London, ON, we be a rambunctious group o' pirate musicians! Our main focus be shanties, jigs and reels, traditional irish music and on the right occasion a few naughtycal songs as well. You could be finding us terrorizing downtown London, or invading your favorite local pub. Or any port town near Port Rowan from our good ship "The Buccaneer" From weddings to children's parties we have you covered for yer pirate musical entertainment. Huzzah!




HAMRD :

HAMRD

We are a five piece band from Woodstock, ON. We play a
mixture of traditional and contemporary music in several
genres, and have a particular speciality for Celtic music. All of
our band members have backgrounds on multiple instruments,
allowing us to adapt our instrumentation to fit each song, providing
a dynamic experience with a good variety of flavour in
our sound. Our band name, HAMRD, is an acronym of the
names of our members, which are Hillary, Adam, Matthew,
Ron and Dawn.
